Heavy fog covered the pitch for the majority of the first half, which lifted after the half time break, but luckily the spectators were able to see all fours goals in this fixture after the interval.

Solent very nearly opened the scoring 12 seconds into the half but Hisham Kasimu's low effort bounced off the Lymington post and eventually into the grateful hands of goalkeeper Ross Casey.

Lymington would take the lead via the penalty spot, after the third appeal from both sides in the match, as Sam House beat the finger tips of Bradley Banda from 12 yards.

A second followed shortly after for Lymington when an Owen Fee free kick from near the half way line was flicked in by the unmarked Nathan Hurst before a rocket of a strike from House sealed the points for the home side.

Solent pulled one back in stoppage time but the scrappy goal was nothing more than a consolation as Lymington saw the game out shortly after. The result leaves the home side in 6th place whilst the visitors drop one place to 14th.
