With the visitors goalscoring tally at 60 goals from 11 fixtures, Winchester knew they were going to be up against it. However, Chesham waited all of two minutes to go ahead as Gemma Fraser put away her first of five.

A goal with only four minutes on the clock from Kat Bowers sent Chesham into a 2-0 lead but the visitors wouldn't score again until late in the half. Three further goals from Fraser left the scoreline at 5-0 going into the break.

Winchester looked more lively at the start of the second half but the chances were still falling to Chesham and it wasn't long before a sixth goal killed off any likelyhood of a second half revival, Aoife Hanling smashing the ball past Lauren Higgs, who had done more than done her bit with several good saves throughout.

Fraser would have to wait until late in the second half to add a seventh for the away side but the outcome had never been in doubt.

The result leaves Winchester in fourth place, as many points behind New Milton Town in the battle for third and with a game in hand over the Linnets.

Chesham remain top of the table and enjoy a 13 point gap to second, although Oxford City could close that down to six points if they win all their games in hand.
