In a tightly contested final, Hythe did enjoy the majority of the chances. Oakwood 'keeper Finley Totten was very good, a highlight being his amazing one handedreflex save in the second half.

However, Oakwood would have a few chances of their own and tested the Hythe defence throughout, forcing a solid save from Charlie Fry in the closing moments.

In the end, Oakwood were showing great determination to hold on for the full time whistle, even as Hythe strongly appealed for a penalty.

But with seconds to go, Daish would receive the ball unmarked in the Oakwood penalty area and fired the ball in, much to the delight of the Hythe parents, and to the heartbreak of runner's up Oakwood.
