The first half of this game was a very closely fought battle between two evenly matched sides. There were only a handful of chances but the two sides came out on the attack for the second half.

Both goalkeepers had to make some good saves throughout the 90 minutes but neither of them would be beaten before the full time whistle. Despite this, there was plenty for the engaged spectators to watch and no one could easily predict which way the match was going to go.

Eventually, the final would be decided with a dreaded penalty shoot-out. A fine save from goalkeeper Cameron Cavan would keep out Laverstock's first spot kick and it would prove to be the only one that was saved or missed.

This was, perhaps, a further example of just how close these teams had been and how neither set of players were making many mistakes. Ultimately Josh Smith, who'd narrowly missed the chance to win the cup with the last kick of the game, would eventually put away the winner for Curley Park.
