The final was originally supposed to feature Gosport Borough FC but they withdrew from the final after Hampshire moved the date back one day.

The reasons have been well covered by media outlets and the Hampshire FA reluctantly accepted the withdrawal, putting Portchester into the final after they lost to Gosport in the previous round.

Portchester would find themselves with a 2-0 lead thanks to goals either side of half time. A header from Joe Noakes broke the deadlock in the first half before Miles Everitt doubled their advantage after 55 minutes.

However, an immediate equaliser from Jack Slade dragged Bemerton back in with a chance but Sam Griffin missed the opportunity to equalise as he fired a penalty over the crossbar.

Bemerton would force a 92nd minute equaliser thanks to Richard Jackson, but a penalty save from Cameron Scott would win the resulting shoot-out for Portchester.
