Three hat-tricks from the visitors (albeit one did come about through an enforced own goal) earned them the three points which send the two teams to either end of the league table.

The Linnets would wait just a handful of minutes before taking the lead in this fixture. Caitlin Steele's deft lob in the third minute put her side ahead before Olivia Watts fired a strike from range to double that advantage from there.

Solent settled down and stopped the flow of goals until the 25th minute mark where Olivia Jones scored her first of three.

A mix up in the New Milton defence allowed Solent a small amount of hope as soon-to-be stand in 'keeper Courtney Downey guided the ball home from range.

However, Steele would then force an own goal to put New Milton out of reach before Jones neatly tucked away her second of the tie.

The second half allowed the scoreline to increase further away from Solent's grasp, despite worsening weather conditions, and Jones, Watts and Steele all scored again after the break to leave the final standings at 9-1.
